Space Design Studio
Interior Configurator - 2026
A room configurator that lets visitors work directly in a furnished 3D scene. Dimensions, floors, objects, materials, and atmosphere stay close to the space they change.
Part of the VariState collection of interactive experiences, it moves between an overhead editing view and an eye-level walkthrough without breaking the sense of being in one place.

Role: Experience Design, Real-Time 3D Development, Configurator Interface
Stack: TypeScript, Three.js, WebGPU, WebGL 2, Vite, VariState Engine
Start with a room, then make it yours.
The room controls let visitors resize the current space, add rooms, and work across floors. A furnished starting scene gives every change some immediate context.
The interface keeps the editor beside the live room, so proportion is easier to judge than it would be from a list of measurements alone.

Finishes are easier to choose in context.
Floor and wall options sit next to the 3D view. Wood, stone, and quieter wall colors can be compared against the furniture and light already in the room.

A second space changes the mood.
The furnished residence provides a different layout and palette while using the same navigation and editing tools. It shows how the studio can support different interiors without changing the way visitors work.

Step inside before making the next choice.
The overhead view helps with layout. The eye-level walkthrough makes height, circulation, furniture, and wall treatments feel more tangible. Visitors can move between both views inside the same scene.
